In 2000 the Alfa 147 succeeded the 145 and 146. The design and handling were so good, the Alfa 147 won the 2001 Car of the Year award. Technically the Alfa 147 is identical to its big brother the Alfa 156. In 2004 the Alfa 147 got a face-lift and in 2006 the Q2-system was introduced. The top of the 147 range is the GTA, with a 3.2 V6 24v engine, capable of 250 HP and a top speed of 246 km/h.
